Make Chicken Tikka Butter Masala at Home. If you don't know now you know.

Chicken Tikka Masala has been everyones Favourite and just a few weeks ago it was easily accessible everywhere with restaurants and take outs whipping up their best versions of it.


However due to the lockdown things have changed and its tough to get access to our favourite meals or step out whenever we feel like to satisfy our cravings. But who says you cant cook it up at home. Heres all you need to know on how you can make a yummy Chicken Tikka Butter Masala at home.





























Here what you'll need?

For Chicken Tikka

  • 1200 gms Chicken Leg Piece Tikka

  • 60 gms Garlic Paste

  • 40 gms Ginger Paste

  • 5 gms Garam Masala

  • 30ml Lemon Juice

  • 15ml Mustard Oil

  • 200 gms Hung Curd

  • 10 gms Degi Mirchi Powder

  • 110 gms Red Chilly Paste

  • Salt to taste

For Tomato Masala

  • 1500 gms Tomato

  • 75ml Oil

  • 100 gms Onion Chopped

  • 30 gms Garlic Paste

  • 30 gms Ginger Paste

  • 20 gms Jeera Powder

  • 20 gms Degi Mirch

  • 15 gms Garam Masala

  • 4 gms Kasturi Methi

  • 150 gms Butter

  • 400 gms Cream

  • 120gms chopped Tomato

  • Salt to taste


Heres how you can put it all together.

For Tomato Masala

  • Mix and Process the Chicken Tikka

  • Marinate overnight with listed ingredients

  • Cook in Tandoor (if you have one) or Cook or Roast on Tawa and Brush with Butter.

For Tikka Masala

  • Cook tomatoes with garam masala and chilli powder

  • Puree tomato mixture and strain.

  • Heat oil in a pan, add chopped onion, ginger, & garlic paste, cook and add chopped tomatoes.

  • Add cooked tomato puree mixture and cook

  • Add Chicken tikka and season aaccordingly

  • Stir in Cream and butter, Leave some cream for the Garnish.

  • Finish with jeera powder, Garam masala and Kasturi Methi.

  • Finally Serve, and Garnish with Cream Swirl.

Note

Goes best with Jeera Rice or Roti or Chapatis with some onion at the side and may be a glass of beer to go along with it.
