Mumbai and Monsoon Food.

A STORY ABOUT MUMBAI AND MONSOON FOOD

The southwest monsoon reaches the coast of the southern state of Kerala around the first week of June. It usually arrives in Mumbai approximately 10 days later, reaches Delhi by the end of June, and covers the rest of India by mid-July. Every year, the date of the monsoon's arrival is the subject of much speculation. Despite numerous predictions by the meteorological department, it's rare that anyone ever gets it right.

Monsoon Food in Mumbai.

When the skies turn dark and there is an incessant downpour, food can be magical. Indeed, food uplifts the mood instantly and is the best antidote to monsoon blues. Piping hot and steaming food is synonymous with this weather and the options can be endless.

Go ahead and have these, but give them a twist this monsoon and be adventurous enough to try out some other innovative dishes too.

Our tried and tested favourite foods during the Mumbai Monsoon till date are:

- Mixed Bhajiyas - Bhutta with Masala - Chana Chat - Garlic Chana - Misal Pav - Vada Pav - Masala Pav - Samosa - Mysore Masala Dosa - Sandwich - Kheema Pav - Kachoris - Jalebi - Hot & Sour Soup - Parathas

You have two options, either you hunt for the best seller of these mentioned items at your nearest location or you can prepare them at home. If you can't do either then the most simple thing to make and enjoy is everybody's favourite - Maggi Noodles.

In addition to this, some would love to sip on a glass of Old Monk to keep their body warm, but the best liquid we prefer is a piping hot cup of "chai".
