The year 2020 has been a toughest year for most of us, in terms of finances, health and mental issues. Many offices, industries were shut down and employees were laid off. People faced financial crisis, got infected by Covid, battled it up and these all costed us our mental peace.
Most of us lost hope and are still battling with this unprecedented time but there is a man who after losing his job did not give up. Akshay Parkar, a chef based in Mumbai, was amazing at his job and was enjoying international luxury cruises, five and seven star hotels, when pandemic took away his 8-year-old job.
However, being a sole earner of his family, he didn't have any time to waste around asking for another job. Instead took courage and choose to open a roadside biryani stall, ‘Parkar Biryani House’. Now, Parkar is selling finger-licking Biryani same as the five star quality in front of Shivaji Mandir in Dadar, Mumbai.
His inspiring story came in light after a Facebook page named ‘Being Malwani’ shared a post of his unbelievable journey. He currently sells: Veg Biryani, Anda (Egg) Biryani, Chicken Biryani and a few more on the list which costs only RS 65 for half and RS 140 for a full plate.
He is also open to take home deliveries and catering services as well. The Facebook page shared his story and has touched many people. The post received above 2,000 likes and more than 500 people shared this post.
From that day onwards people flock to his stall to take a taste on his Biryani and since then his sale has doubled up. Many people wish Parkar for his current and future endeavors.
